Cosanta wants to ensure that Stoffenmanager® (online tool) is and remains independent, qualitative, dependable and up-to-date. Since its very beginnings in 2003 the development of Stoffenmanager® has been the focus of the people at Cosanta. They have turned it into a ‘platform’ that, in addition to the Stoffenmanager® online tool, comprises a helpdesk, training programmes, on-site implementation activities, corporate coaching and network meetings.
As a socially engaged organisation, we support national and international initiatives aimed to reduce occupational health risks. In May 2016 and March 2017 our colleague Koen Verbist travelled to Vietnam as part of a foreign trade mission of the Netherlands Association for Occupational Hygiene and an initiative by the Fair Wear Foundation to gain a picture of the working conditions there, especially with respect to hazardous substances.
Cosanta was founded in 2014 as a spin-out of TNO and Arbo Unie. Together with our IT partner EY (Ernst & Young) we continue to develop Stoffenmanager®. Our customer base extends beyond the Netherlands to Europe and other parts of the world. Knowledge organisations like TNO, Arbo Unie and participating knowledge institutes in the International Scientific Advisory Board of Stoffenmanager® provide the latest scientific insights that we translate into our online tool and into our other services. Our clients are also an essential sounding board for us and, as actual practitioners, they collaborate actively in the ongoing development of Stoffenmanager®. Co-funding is another of the options that exist.
